Aiai delas Alas relates how she battled depression
Despite her humorous persona, Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas admits going through tough times in the past that caused her depression.
At the pocket press conference for upcoming film And Ai Thank You, Aiai revealed, “Di ba, may kasabihan na, 'It's lonely at the top?' Totoo 'yun, naranasan ko 'yun.
She detailed how she felt overwhelming stress and sadness in the early 2000s.

Aiai also said she sought treatment from a professional, “Ang wake-up call ko, nung time na nagpa-psychiatrist ako.”
“Binigyan ako ng Prozac, 'yung effect sa 'kin nun is nanginginig ako, nahuhulog 'yung mga bag ko.
“'Pag kinakausap mo ako para akong walang pakiramdam.
“Wala akong emosyon, so sabi ko, 'Ang pangit, ayoko nito.'
“So nag-ano na lang ako, devotion kay Mama Mary at kay Lord.”
The Comedy Queen also opened up to her family and family aside from strengthening her religious faith.

Aiai breathed a sigh of relief after recalling that phase in her life and admitted that it was her first time opening up to the press about it.
