EXCLUSIVE: Chariz Solomon says "No to Starving"
Working out is a must for a healthy lifestyle especially for moms.
Unfortunately, mommies seldom have the time to exercise. They devote their precious hours to taking care of their families or their work.
This holds true for Kapuso comedienne Chariz Solomon, who juggle her time taking care of her two kids Apollo and Ali Joakim and working in her two regular sitcoms Bubble Gang and Pepito Manaloto.
In her sit-down interview with GMANetwork.com, the StarStruck graduate shared some tips on how moms could better take care of their body, despite not having the time to work out.
Although, Chariz is a fitness junkie, she admits that there are moments when she cannot go to the gym and instead choose to stay at home to fulfill her duties.
She stressed that working moms like her should stick to a healthy diet if doing physical activities is not an option.
Chariz explained, “Halos lahat ng moms nagwo-work sila di ba and then when they go home they don't have time to rest, they don't really have time for themselves.
“So, nag-aalaga pa sila ng kids, kung wala kayong time to work out, just stick to a healthy diet.
“Ang masu-suggest ko huwag niyo piliin 'yung diet na wala kayong kinakain halos.”
No to starving!
The Kapuso mom also warned mommies about starving themselves as a way to lose weight.
She stressed that our bodies needs essential nutrients that we get from food. Chariz suggested taking small but frequent meals as a better alternative than starving yourself.
“Ang masu-suggest ko huwag niyo piliin 'yung diet na wala kayong kinakain halos.”
“Kasi may mga needs 'yung mga katawan natin and never kinailangan ng katawan natin 'yung hindi kumain.”
She added, “There is a special kind of diet, a healthier one. So piliin natin 'yung healthier option, 'yung small frequent meals always works. Ako never ako 'di kumain,”
Chariz also shared this piece of advice that 'rice is not an enemy.' We get plenty of energy by eating rice and instead of totally avoiding it, we could just control the amount of what we consume to stay healthy.
“Never ka huwag kumain, puwede ka mag-less rice pero never no rice, kasi dun natin nakukuha 'yung energy.
“And para magawa natin 'yung activities like be productive sa bahay, sa mga anak natin and sa work, kailangan natin ng food.”
Mommies, remember that there are tons of ways to stay healthy and sexy and it starts by being smart in what you eat.
