Selena Gomez is one of the multi-hyphen celebrities in Hollywood who's done almost everything: sing, dance, act, run a business, and just recently, she's started her own cooking show titled 'Selena + Chef.'
On January 10, 2020, Selena released her third solo album 'Rare,' then she also launched a beauty line called 'Rare Beauty' later that year.
Aside from that, the A-list star also started her own cooking show 'Selena + Chef' on HBO Max on August 13, and it' currently on its second season.

In the official trailer of her show's second season, it was revealed that one of the chefs that Selena will be working with is Filipino-Canadian chef Jordan Andino.
Chef Jordan is the host of Cooking Channel's program 'Late Nite Eats' and he also owns a Filipino taqueria called Flip Sigi, which specializes in fusion food that marries Filipino and Mexican cuisine.
Some of the Filipino-inspired dishes served in his taqueria in New York City are adobo chicken tacos, adobo-rito, and the sinigang flip bowl.

So, it looks like Selena is off to a good start since she's working with an expert on Filipino food.
However, let's not forget that Selena is a proud third-generation American-Mexican.
And just like the Philippines, Mexico was also once part of the Spanish Empire.
Therefore, Mexicans and Filipinos both have heavy Spanish influence in their culture, especially when it comes to food.
So, we believe Selena is no stranger to the adobo. But whether she can cook a flavorful adobo like our Filipino moms and grandmothers is something we shall all find out in the episode of 'Selena + Chef.'
