If you indulged in mouthwatering (and unhealthy) food during Noche Buena and Media Noche, chances are you've gained some holiday weight and currently pregnant with your “food baby.”

But don't worry. You have the rest of the year to get back in shape and become a better and healthier version of yourself.

So, in order to help you achieve your health and fitness goals this 2021, Kapuso hottie chef Jose Sarasola, who's also set to star in his first TV series The Lost Recipe, shared a quick and healthy seafood recipe in his Unang Hirit segment, the Cheesy Creamy Garlic Bangus.

Not only is this dish healthy, but it's also practical because you can use some of the leftover queso de bola in your fridge from the holiday season.

So, you get two benefits from a single healthy recipe: you get to eat something healthy and you avoid food waste. How awesome, right?

If you want to try this at home, grab a pen and paper or your smartphone and take note of the ingredients and procedure below.

Ingredients:

Bonless bangus fillet
1 cup all-purpose cream
½ cup freshly grated queso de bola
8 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 small onion, chopped
2 tbsps. olive oil
1 tbsp. salted butter
1-2 tbsps. chili flakes
3 cups fresh parsley, chopped
Salt
Pepper

Procedure:

1. Season bangus fillet with salt and pepper.
2. Fry the bangus for 7 minutes per side then set aside.
3. For the sauce, melt the butter in a pan.
4. Add garlic.
5. Add onions.
6. Add all-purpose cream.
7. Add salt and pepper.
8. Add grated queso de bola.
9. Add parsley and chili flakes.
10. Pour the sauce on top of your fried bangus and sprinkle chili flakes.

Chef Jose says the cream should be cooked under low flame, so that it wouldn't evaporate fast.
