IN PHOTOS: Janus Del Prado's weight loss transformation

Janus Del Prado recently shared his amazing weight loss transformation on social media.

Aside from his inspiring before and after photos, the actor talked about his weight loss journey and imparted some tips based on his experience.

Janus shared that if you want to lose weight, the journey begins with making that decision and sticking to it.

He also said it'll be helpful to have an honest mirror and weighing scale.

This way you can accurately keep track of your progress and be more motivated to push through.

Janus also suggested that people who want to lose weight should drink lots of water and take vitamins such as vitamin C, multivitamins, and electrolytes.

He also revealed that it was through intermittent fasting that he achieved his successful weight loss, more specifically through the OMAD diet or “one day, one meal diet.”

Janus said this is done by having only one meal per day from Monday to Friday, meaning he goes through 23 hours of fasting then allots one hour each day to eat.

Hence, the diet is also called “fasting then feasting.”

Then during weekends, on Saturday and Sunday, Janus goes through complete fasting, meaning no meals and snacks in between.

He said people can consume coffee during this weekend fasting like he does.

Janus also emphasized that people should consult their doctors first before trying out what he did.

Janus, who calls himself “Pambansang Bestfriend” in his vlog, also confessed that the main reason why he wanted to lose weight was because of his physical appearance.

“Hindi na ko magsisinungaling. Hindi ko gusto itsura ko noong mataba ako.”

He revealed another reason why he decided to go through a weight loss journey.

“Part siya of trying to have a little sense of control with my life.”

Janus said ever since he has lost weight, his overall health has improved.

“Hindi na ko hingalin. Hindi na rin ako madalas sumpungin ng asthma.

“Mas bumilis 'yung motor ko kasi magaan na ko.”

He also said he has more energy now and less mental fog.

So far, Janus is now down to 148 pounds (lbs.). He weighed 210 lbs. before he started his weight loss journey.

He lost 31 lbs. during the first month, around 18 lbs. during the second month, and about 11 lbs. during the third month.
