Sarah Jessica Parker is the December 2021 cover star of Vogue
And just like that, Sarah Jessica Parker is back! The Sex and the City (SATC) star graces the cover of the December 2021 issue of Vogue.
The TV and style icon looked stunning as the cover star of Vogue in a gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gown, Dior bracelets, and a Harwell Godfrey ring.
In the cover story Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) talks about the return of their cult series in the era of social media, reprising her iconic role as Carrie Bradshaw, and celebrating women whatever age they may be.
“The world of Carrie and her friends has always been about coming home, and I felt like we needed that right now,” says SJP on their grand return.
SJP also underlined the bittersweet fact that although there's a lot to look forward to in the SATC sequel series And Just Like That…, it definitely won't be the same as before.
“We have some new people, and we have some people who aren't back anymore,” SJP stated in the cover story.
It can be recalled that SATC actor Willie Garson has passed away in September this year at the age of 57 after battling a short illness.
Moreover, Kim Catrall, one of the lead stars of SATC who plays Samantha Jones, won't be joining SJP, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon in the sequel.
Aside from the return of SATC, SJP also spoke out about how women shouldn't feel bad about aging and how she's celebrating the woman she is now.
“It almost feels as if people don't want us to be perfectly okay with where we are,” SJP expressed. “As if they almost enjoy us being pained by who we are today, whether we choose to age naturally and not look perfect, or whether you do something if that makes you feel better. I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?”
SJP, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon first teased about the return of SATC back in January with a teaser of the sequel.
And true enough, SATC's much-awaited comeback is finally happening this December on HBO Max.
