Stunning gowns worn by celebs in their beach wedding
We've witnessed a lot of jaw-dropping weddings with your favorite Pinoy celebrities, but some of these ceremonies definitely leave an indelible mark, especially scenic beach weddings.
With more than 7,600 islands to choose from, wedding ceremonies held by the seaside are very popular among couples.
In the 2017 Philippines weddings trend report by bridestory.com, they surveyed 800 brides and grooms in the Philippines to find out what they want.
One of the key findings showed that 29.4 percent want a destination wedding, with Tagaytay, Boracay, and Cebu as the top 3 favorite locations. Of course, who wouldn't want to get married in Boracay with its tropical blue waters as a backdrop and get those perfect wedding shots while the sun sets in paradise?
Several celebrities have opted to tie the knot by the beach such as Bianca Gonzalez, Iza Calzado, and most recently, 'Magandang Dilag' actress Maxine Medina.

Bianca Gonzalez
The wedding of Bianca Gonzalez and former PBA cager JC Intal is a Pinterest inspiration, especially since they held their beach wedding in Palawan in 2014. Reports stated that Bianca opted for a ready-to-wear gown called “Ubeda” from the Soft collection of Spanish label Rosa Clara.
Rachelle Ann Go
International Broadway star Rachelle Ann Go and her husband Martin Spies picked Shangri-La's Boracay Resort & Spa for their wedding venue in April 2018. Rachelle's sheer and lace bridal gown with floral embellishments was the masterpiece of her brother Oz Go.
Iza Calzado
A gown fit for a queen was how fans of versatile TV-movie actress Iza Calzado called her immaculate wedding gown designed by Rajo Laurel. Iza tied the knot with Ben Wintle at the Club Paradise resort in Coron, Palawan in December 2019.
Ritz Azul
For her dream wedding, Ritz Azul tapped Mak Tumang to create her red ombre ethereal gown for the ceremony held at Club Paradise in Palawan on December 11, 2021. This is the second wedding of Ritz and husband Allan Guy. They tied the knot in Baguio on November 20, 2021.
Mak Tumang is the genius behind Catriona Gray's iconic 2018 “lava gown.”
Pia Wurtzbach
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach wanted the wedding dress that she will wear in Seychelles to have a special meaning. That is why the Pinay beauty queen tapped New York-based designer Bessie Besana to be in charge.
Pia told Bessie, “I really wanted a friend to make my wedding dress and I was hoping it would be you. I want it to be done by a friend and you know me so much and I want you to be a part of my wedding.”
Maxine Medina
After tying the knot in a church wedding, Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina and Timmy Llana also chose Club Paradise Palawan as the venue for their next wedding.
The 'Magandang Dilag' actress tapped fashion designer Rhett Eala to make her bridal gown into a reality. Rhett was also the one who designed Maxine's gown when she competed in the Miss Universe pageant.
Rachel Peters
Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters has decided to marry her politician husband Migz Villafuerte for the second time. After their civil wedding in July 2021, the Villafuerte couple traveled to Bali, Indonesia in October 2022 for their majestic wedding at the stunning seaside luxury villa of The Ungasan Clifftop Resort.

Coleen Garcia
On April 20, 2018, Coleen Garcia married Billy Crawford in a luxurious beach wedding at the Balesin Island Club in Polilio, Quezon.
