Marian and Dingdong on Zia and Sixto entering showbiz: 'Why not?'
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera has said that she and her husband Dingdong Dantes will support their kids, Zia and Sixto, if they want to step into showbiz. However, she has a condition that they need to finish their studies first.
In an interview with Nelson Canlas on the podcast Updated with Nelson Canlas, Marian revealed that she and Dingdong have talked about it before, and stated that they will support their kids once they've shown interest in following in their footsteps.
“So ang sa amin lang siguro makapagtapos sila ng pag-aaral, mas maganda kasi may fallback e, alam mo 'yon mas iba pa rin ang may pinag-aralan. Then afterwards kung yon ang nakikita nila at gusto nilang sundan ang apak namin why not,” she said.
Marian also mentioned in the interview that both Zia and Sixto already know about hers and Dingdong's jobs as actors and that the kids would sometimes see her doing shoots at home. Aside from that, the Kapuso Primetime King has also told Marian that “it's about time” to bring Zia to GMA and show her where they work.
“Kailangan malaman niya kung ano ba talaga ang trabaho ni mama at ni dada,” Marian said.
The actress also said that she wants to implement the importance of studying not only because of learning, but also because of the experience Zia and Sixto will gain from attending school.
“Sa teacher mo, 'yong pakikisama mo sa ibang tao, sa kapwa mo, sa estudyante man yan o teacher mo or kung ano man yan iba pa rin siguro 'yong experience na madadala nila habang lumalaki sila nasa school,” she said.
She added, “Mas gusto kong maranasan nila yong totoong proseso ng paglaki ng normal. Alam mo 'yon na nag-aaral ka, may classmates ka, may project kayo, may assignment ka na mahirap gawin kasi 'yon ang parte ng buhay na masarap gawin.”
Marian said that she wanted her kids to experience everything they need to experience so that there won't be any regrets in the future.
