Catriona Gray with her parents

Catriona Gray is realizing the importance of time spent with her family after her father's time spent in the hospital.

Christmas is a time when we get back together with our families, and for Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, this year's Christmas reunion with her parents is something that she holds dear.

In a post on her Instagram account, Catriona posted a photo of her with her mother and father in front of a holiday display. In the caption to the post, Catriona explained why this year's Christmas get-together “hits different.”

According to Catriona, because of the time her father spent in the hospital last year, she realized that she had taken the time she's spent with her parents in previous years for granted, since there would always be a “next time” or a “next Christmas.” This year, Catriona said that every moment she has spent with her parents, whether “dancing in our chairs to Elvis, giggling over a glass of wine and taking our evening walks.”

Back in June during Father's Day, Catriona also had sweet words for her father, who she called a “real-life superman” as she greeted him Happy Father's Day.

Catriona is just one of many celebrities that took time out of their busy schedules this holiday season to spend it with their families. Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera shared photos of her family on Christmas, with all of them dressed in Carolina Herrera outfits.

Carla Abellana also reunited with her mom's family on Christmas Day, after not seeing them for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the caption, Carla celebrated that they were complete again after two years.
