Eigenmann clan reunites to celebrate Cherie Gil's life
The whole Gil-Eigenmann clan had a reunion to celebrate the life of the late great Cherie Gil, who passed away on August 5 in New York City after a courageous battle with cancer.
The clan's celebration of Cherie's life coincides with her older brother Mark Gil's 8th death anniversary yesterday, September 1.
Cherie's sisters-in-law, Maricar Jacinto-Eigenmann and Julie Reyes-Eigenmann, shared some photos of their reunion at Antonio's Fine Dining in Tagaytay City.
"Yesterday was filled with so much love, laughter and tears as we shared memories of our Angels in Heaven," Maricar, Mark's widow, wrote in the caption.
"Welcome home Cherie, almost a month in Heaven and Ralph's 8th year death anniversary."
During the celebration, Maricar noticed that a little butterfly had been staying on the window for the whole duration of their reunion, and they figured that it was her late husband, Mark, who was joining them.
"The little butterfly that stayed on the window the entire time, and we figured that it may be Ralph joining us at that moment. Just LOVE."
Meanwhile, Julie shared their family photo alongside a picture of Cherie.
She wrote, "I know you were with us - smiling, crying, and laughing at the beautiful memories we shared of you with each other."
"We miss you so much! But in our grief, we smile knowing that you are hugging Ralph again. We love you, Cherie!"
