Steve Dailisan grieves father's death
Former Kapuso reporter Steve Dailisan was ecstatic just a few days ago over his new job at an airline company, but his celebration was put to a halt when his father Sancho Dailisan passed away on August 17.
Steve made a heart wrenching post for his late father on his Facebook.
He wrote, "I was looking forward to take you inside the real cockpit one day... I could've been the happiest if I was given the chance to pilot your flight to your hometown in Aklan.
"But what can I say Dad? You went ahead to your dream destination in the loving arms of God.
"Never thought that I'd be writing something so excruciatingly painful in my wall.
"Our Dad, Sancho Dailisan peacefully joined our Creator at around 6 in the evening. He was 70.
Recently, Steve opened up about the struggles of losing his job as a pilot due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In early 2018, Steve left his job as a reporter to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot. In April 2019, he officially became a licensed commercial pilot.
