Jewel Mische shares thoughts on giving birth amid the COVID-19 pandemic

Jewel Mische revealed how she felt when she gave birth to her second child Emerald Jade during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She started her post by saying she's happy that their family made it through the hospital during the outbreak.

"We did it. We made it through a hospital birth during the Coronavirus outbreak. I am so happy to be home, healthy and on the other side."

Jewel explained what she felt as she was about to welcome her child during the pandemic.

"I must admit, it is such a strange time to be welcoming a little one into this world. Although excited, I cannot help but consider the current state of our world while the joy that rests in my arms isn't aware of what awaits her."

The former actress said her faith is bigger than her fear.

"However, my faith silences my fears with a resounding statement --'She's born for such a time as this!' For even before she was a thought in my mind, God had already set aside her life for Himself. My concerns, although worth considering, are calmed by the idea that our almighty God will have His will done on earth as it is in heaven. And, my faith settles in this truth: that perfect love casts out all fear (1John 4:18). I am secure in God's love and protection.

Jewel added, "No matter the state of this world, Christ is still King and my Emerald will be part of this great fight for truth."

For the moms who are feeling anxious about what is going on with the world, Jewel shared a few tips that are based on her experience.

"If you are pregnant and have a newborn in this time of uncertainty and are feeling nervous, it's ok. If you're stressed and anxious that's ok too."

She added, "But do not park there and instead be overcome by this; God makes no mistakes, and His timing is perfect. The beauty of children being born within these times, they were made for this. My heart is full of faith they are our little warriors.️️️ *HUGS*"

Jewel and her husband Alister Kurzer are blessed with two girls, Aislah Rose and Emerald.
