Bernadette Allyson and Gary Estrada's daughters to join showbiz, too!
Celebrity couple Bernadette Allyson and Gary Estrada are very proud of daughters Icee, Gabbi, and Garri who are now following in their footsteps in showbiz.
Ejercito sisters were recently introduced as the newest ambassadors of Facial Care Center, which their mom has been endorsing for years.
“Of course, we wish them success. That's why we're supporting them. Actually, panatag ako that we're here. I've been with Facial Care since 2008, so that's why I allowed them to do this,” Bernadette said in a short interview with GMANetwork.com and other entertainment media.
Aside from this endorsement, their tres marias are starting have their own gigs. Their eldest daughter Icee, recently signed a recording deal with Universal Records. On the other hand, their two dughters, Gabbi and Garri, are interested in modeling.
According to the celebrity parents, they're now allowing their kids to do whatever they want to pursue especially their eldest, who is now in college.
“I support what they want,” said Bernadette. “Now that Icee's in college, puwede na. Kasi, she used to go in a school na bawal, kaya hindi rin siya lumalabas. But now, she's in college. And they seemed to lean towards the arts, something to do in showbiz. I let them do they whatever they want.”
On being part of a celebrity family
Meanwhile, the young Ejercitos admit that there's a pressure to being part of a big showbiz clan.
However, Icee said, “I try not to think about it na lang kasi mape-pressure ako. You know, a lot of our family members are in the industry. It's kinda hard to beat the level or at least match the level of competency.”
Likewise, their youngest, Gianna, said, “There is [pressure] but I don't wanna think about that. I just wanna enjoy and try everything.”
The middle child, Gabbi, said that instead of thinking about the presssure, “I try to take things one thing at a time. I just try not to be so pressured and think so hard about the things that I do.”
As for their parents, Bernadette and Gary assured that they're not going to be a stage parents to their kids once they start their showbiz careers.
For his part, Gary said, “Ang pressure lang [mula sa akin], yung things na tinuro sa amin ng mga nauna sa aming mag-artista--mag-iipon ka, always treat your senior actors well. Kasi, yun ang nakakalimutan ng ilang baguhang artista. From my experience, yun ang reklamo ng senior stars.”
Bernadette, on the other hand, said, “We're actually making sure that the values we imparted to them ay dala-dala nila. I always tell them to enjoy and be themselves, at the same time, know your values.”
