IN PHOTOS: How Pauleen Luna and Vic Sotto became Baby Tali's playmates during the quarantine
In an episode of Eat Bulaga's "Bawal Judgmental" segment on September 6, Pauleen Luna opened up her concerns about the social life of her three-year-old daughter, Tali, who had just begun her online schooling.
According to Pauleen, Baby Tali has been longing for face-to-face interaction with her classmates and teachers.
She said, "Parang feeling ko naramdaman niya 'yon kasi hindi na niya nakikita 'yung classmates niya. 'Tapos whenever minsan nagta-trial kami ng tutor kahit online lang, parang naintindihan na rin niya na ganito na muna."
"Pero minsan, ang nakakalungkot is kapag nakikita niya ang classmates niya at sasabihin niya, 'Mommy, Vivian will visit me, right?' 'Yung parang she's longing for that face-to-face interaction, connection."
Being great parents that they are, Pauleen and Vic Sotto turned into Tali's teachers, friends, and playmates.
They also invite some of their relatives to make up for the absence of social interactions for Tali.

In August 2021, Pauleen Luna and Vic Sotto's three-year-old daughter, Tali, began her schooling virtually.
Buwan ng Wika
Even though Tali was not attending face-to-face learning because of the pandemic, Baby Tali gave her best when it came to school activities. Here she was wearing a beautiful baro't saya in celebration of Buwan ng Wika.
Inflatable slide
Of course, Daddy Vic Sotto wouldn't miss it for the world to play with his daughter. In fact, Vic and Pauleen rented an inflatable slide to make things more enjoyable.
Family
Sometimes, Pauleen and Vic invite some of their relatives so that Tali can play with someone her age. Since having playmates is a rare occasion these days, Pauleen taught Tali a lesson by letting her enjoy the moment.
She said, "There was this one time na nagpunta dito 'yung mga pamangkin niya, pero mga bata pa talaga, nag-rent kami ng inflatable slide, sabi ko talaga sa Daddy niya, 'Hayaan mo masaktan. Hayaan mong medyo masipa nang konti.' Para maintindihan niya na it works this way - na minsan ang mga pangyayari in your favor, minsan hindi - we have to learn how to adjust."
Mommy-turned-teacher
Pauleen has adjusted to becoming Tali's teacher, who sometimes joins her classes.
Good cop, bad cop
According to Pauleen, she and Vic have a good cop, bad cop role where she is the bad cop when it comes to studying.
Pauleen explained, "Ang tingin kasi talaga ni Tali kay Vic is playmate talaga, 100%. Kasi, good cop-bad cop kami, ako 'yung bad cop, sa kanya talaga ang punta. Kumbaga, siya 'yung to the rescue."
Playground
But Pauleen made sure that she and Tali also get to bond over some things, like playing in their makeshift playground.
Blessing in disguise
Nevertheless, Pauleen saw the beauty in being on lockdown for more than a year. She said, "I'm very thankful for this time. Sabi nga naming mag-asawa, kung hindi nagkaroon ng time na 'to, siguro hindi rin ganito 'yung magiging bond namin."
