While the battle with COVID-19 is still ongoing, these brave mommas and moms-to-be are bringing new life amid a pandemic as they thrive in their pregnancies.
From swab testing, wearing personal protective equipment, limiting companions in hospitals, reduced prenatal consultations, these ladies are battling the health risks with extra safety precautions.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), pregnant women are at a higher risk for severe illnesses from COVID-19 compared to non-pregnant women, but with enough safety measures, infections can be avoided effectively. Nonetheless, there are many women who still manage to safely get through their pregnancy, but also have a meaningful experience during their prenatal journey.
