Sarah Geronimo honors Mommy Divine at the Billboard Women in Music Awards
Sarah Geronimo gives a special shout-out to her mother, Maria Divina Tua Geronimo a.k.a. Mommy Divine, at the Billboard Women in Music Awards.
During an interview before the event, Sarah acknowledged Mommy Divine while saluting all women, especially mothers. She also expressed her gratitude for the sacrifices mothers make for their children.
"Women, especially mothers out there... Shout out to my mother, Mommy Divine Geronimo. You are the best, you are my hero, I love you very much. I mean, I cannot imagine myself being a mother. All the sacrifices a mother has to do for their child, It's mind-blowing," Sarah said.
In connection to this, Sarah also shared her thoughts on the significance of being part of a women's event. She conveyed a message to both women and men, recognizing the beauty and strength of women and acknowledging the challenges of marriage.
"Women are beautiful, women are strong, and now that I'm married, I understand how marriage can be difficult sometimes. Men are beautiful as well. The way they manage, they cope up with everything that goes on with our minds as women. I also would like to salute men on how they take care of us women, she said.
Representing the OPM industry, the Popstar Royalty received the Global Force award at the prestigious event.
When she was asked about her win, Sarah expressed her gratitude and reflected on the significance of being recognized as a Global Force.
"I mean it's very unexpected. I mean to be considered a Global Force and for me a Global Force means having that influence. That power to influence people and it also comes with a big responsibility. You have to be mindful about the materials you put out there so you have to create change and positivity towards other people," she answered.
