PasaLord enjoins people to unite and pray together on February 4

The PasaLord Prayer Movement urges everyone to participate in the upcoming interfaith synchronized nationwide event titled ‘Moment of Prayer’ on February 4, 2021 at 12 noon.

In a statement written by PasaLord founder Bing Pimentel she said, “Now, more than ever, in this difficult phase of our nation’s history, we, Filipinos, need to unite and pray.

“It is our hope that, as we do so together, one day, we will become the nation God has always intended us to be—His light to Asia and the World.

“We also need to pray for: healing of those affected by the COVID-19 virus, an end to the pandemic, God’s will to prevail regarding the vaccination program, economic recovery, and peace and unity. I am sure these themes are in your heart as they are in mine.”

The PasaLord prayer movement was founded by Mrs. Pimentel back in 2017, during the war in Marawi. So, it was initially established with the goal of uniting everyone to pray for peace.

However, this year, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, new prayer intentions like healing, recovery, and guidance or enlightenment regarding the COVID-19 vaccination programs will now also be included in the prayer.

There will be a live simulcast of the 90-second ‘Moment in Prayer’ event on GMA-7 and DZBB. It will also be streamed live on GMA Network’s official Facebook page and YouTube account.

Join PasaLord and the rest of the nation as we unite and pray altogether during the ‘Moment in Prayer’ event happening on February 4, Thursday, 4 p.m.

To serve as your guide, below are the two versions—English and Filipino—of the revised “Prayer for Peace in the Philippines and the Whole World.”

ENGLISH

Prayer for Peace in the Philippines and the Whole World
Almighty God, in Your mercy and compassion,
forgive our sins and the sins of our people.
Look with favor upon us as we pray for our country,
the Philippines, and for the whole world.
Bless all our leaders with good health, wisdom,
integrity, truthfulness and righteousness.
Uphold our families and keep our children safe.
Help us be moral and upright citizens,
living together peacefully, with sincerity, loving-kindness,
acceptance, tolerance and forgiveness.
Protect us from foreign invasion, destructive influences,
famine, hopelessness and pestilence like the Covid-19 pandemic,
which the whole world is experiencing now,
and defend us from acts of lawlessness, terrorism and war.
Please stop the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide and shield us from it
especially the frontliners, and keep them from harm.
Heal those infected and may Your will be done in the vaccination program.
Grant our country peace, healing, unity and prosperity,
and bring about the transformation of our nation
so that we may be Your light to Asia and the whole world. Amen.

FILIPINO

Panalangin para sa Kapayapaan sa Pilipinas at sa Buong Mundo
Makapangyarihang Diyos, sa Inyong habag at awa,
patawarin N’yo po ang aming mga sala
at ang kasalanan ng aming lipi.
Kalugdan N’yo po kami sa aming pagsamo
para sa aming bansang Pilipinas at sa buong mundo.
Biyayaan N’yo po ang aming mga pinuno ng kalusugan,
karunungan, integridad, katapatan at katuwiran.
Kalingain N’yo po ang aming pamilya
at ingatan ang aming mga anak.
Tulungan N’yo po kaming maging matuwid na mamamayan
na namumuhay nang mapayapa, matapat
at may tunay na malasakit, pagtanggap at pagpapatawad.
Protektahan N’yo po ang aming bayan
