GMA Music warmly welcomed Princess Velasco into its roster of talented musicians in a contract signing last July 10.
Present in the contract signing were GMA Music Managing Director Rene Salta, and GMA Music A&R Manager Kedy Sanchez.
Dubbed as the OPM Acoustic Princess, she is delighted to be back to one of her passions – recording music.
“I'm very excited to make new music kasi I missed singing and I'm very happy na nabigyan ako ng opportunity to work with GMA Music. The songs that we're going to do ay sobrang ganda at sobrang malapit din sa puso ko,” she said.
Princess took a break from her singing career to focus on her family. Now, the singer is back and is ready to serenade the listeners with her upcoming single “Konti Na Lang,” written by Noah Zuniga.
She quipped, “It's very Pinoy kasi ang lyrics niya ay sumasalamin sa buhay ng mga karaniwang Pilipino. May mga gusto tayong gawin o maabot pero minsan parang ang layo at hindi natin alam paano ‘yun mararating. Nakaka-inspire ‘yung pagkakasulat ng kanta at ‘yung melody, nakakaantig ng damdamin. I really loved it.”
GMA Music Managing Director Rene Salta revealed that the listeners should watch out for Princess’ new songs, “We are happy that she signed up with us. We all know that she has an amazing voice that deserves to be heard. We are also looking forward to our future releases which will consist of original Filipino music.”
