EXCLUSIVE: Maricris Garcia on being the voice of several Kapuso telenovela theme songs

After lending her voice numerous times to several Kapuso telenovela theme songs, Maricris Garcia claims she has found where she belongs in the industry.
 
Maricris’ voice can be heard almost every afternoon and every night on the Kapuso network. Among her successful soundtracks include "Ako’y Mahalin" for Destiny Rose, "Ako Nalang Ang Bibitaw" for the Kapuso remake of the Korean drama Carmina, "Ibibigay Ko Ang Lahat" for The Half Sisters, "Iniibig Kita" for MariMar, and "‘Di Malilimot" for Someone To Watch Over Me.  
 
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the Kapuso singer admitted she feels comfortable in singing theme songs.
 
She said, “Hindi naman ako gagawa ng something na ayaw ko… Madali mo makuha ‘yung listeners 'tsaka ‘yun nga madaling maka-relate ‘yung mga Pinoy. ‘Yan ‘yung gusto ng mga Pinoy eh kaya magsi-stick muna ako sa ganun.”
 
Maricris is also elated to inspire her fellow artists through her music.
 
She shared, “'Yung sa Someone To Watch Over Me, kasama ako doon ‘di ba tapos si Lovi (Poe), ‘yung theme song na kinanta ko parang ‘yun pala, sinabi niya sa akin nung natapos na ‘yung soap, ‘yun pala ‘yung ginagamit niya pang-motivate para umiyak siya. Sabi ko, ‘Aaww, talaga?’ So ayun, nakakatuwa naman.”
