April Boy Regino signs with GMA Records, to release inspirational album

After having survived prostate cancer, congenital heart failure and blindness, he considers his continuing recovery and new career as a second lease on life.

Phenomenal singer of the 90’s April Boy Regino signed a contract with GMA Records earlier today (August 14).
“[Nagbabalik] ako. Salamat sa GMA Records… magiging recording artist ulit ako,” he said.
The ‘Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin singer revealed that he lost his complete vision for over a year. After an operation, his left eye is still blind and could only partially see on his right. After having survived prostate cancer, congenital heart failure and blindness, he considers his continuing recovery and new career as a second lease on life.
“Ngayon, binigyan na ko ng pangalawang pagkakataon ng Diyos. Ito na, pinakamasaya [na yugto] sa buhay ko,” he added.
Because of his renewed faith, he is set to release an inspirational Christian album based on the hurdles he had triumphed.
“Mga salita na ng Diyos ang gusto kong [i-share. Kaya] ang ilalabas ko pong album [is a] Christian album. Ito po ay tungkol sa Diyos [at] hango sa buhay ko,” he shared.
He is thankful to be given the opportunity to share his journey of faith and give inspiration to those who are feeling hopeless.
“Salamat sa GMA Records [dahil] kahit bulag ako, binibigyan pa rin nila ko ng pagkakataon… Ang mga awitin ko ay para sa mga taong merong [pinagdadaanan], he imparted.
