Kapuso singer-actress Rita Daniela launched the music video of her carrier single ‘I’m Flying High’ during the first leg of the Rita Daniela Series last Thursday in Off the Grill, Timog.
The event, graced by her family, close friends, fans and bloggers, was an intimate celebration for the fulfillment of Rita’s dream to have her own album.
Her brother Roy Sotero revealed to the evening’s audience that Rita was his human jukebox when they were little kids. The idea of having her own album only used to be a far-fetched dream.
Now that she has launched her self-titled debut album, Rita thanks the people who never tire in supporting her.
“Gusto ko magpasalamat sa mga taong sumusuporta sa ‘kin. Dito ko talaga napatunayan na love nila ako,” she said.
Some of Rita’s colleagues who attended the event were Glaiza de Castro, Joyce Ching, Geleen Eugenio and the Addlib Dance Crew.
Joyce, whom Rita considers as one of her best friends, expressed her well-wishes for this feat. “Rita Daniela, congratulations at alam ko matagal mo nang dream yan bilang [singing] naman ang pinaka talent mo [talaga]… I’m so happy and I’m so proud of you, promise,” Joyce declared.
