Rita Daniela and Gian Magdangal may seem like an unlikely pair, but the GMA Records artist admits she has a soft heart for the latter.
When Rita was asked to whom she dedicates ‘Hahanap-hanapin Ka’, one of her songs from her self-titled album, she was quick to reply, “Gian Magdangal, he’s really one of my best friends.”
“Yes, malaki ‘yung age gap namin pero at the very young age of mine, naiintindihan niya na old soul ako and mas nakaka-communicate ako sa older people,” Rita added.
Gian currently resides in Hong Kong and the distance has affected their friendship.
She explained, “Hinahanap ko siya dahil hindi tulad ng dati na anytime pag may problema ako natatawagan ko siya, pwede kami magkita. Ngayon hindi pwede ‘yun kasi nandun siya sa Hong Kong nagwo-work.”
Rita recounted a time when Gian came home for a short while but their busy schedules did not allow them to meet and catch up.
“Hinahanap-hanap ko ‘yung talagang best friend ko, all in one kasi si Gian eh – friend, kuya, tatay,” she continued.
