Rita Daniela on her self-titled album: "Napaghandaan siya bawat song"

GMA Records came up with a lot of songs for the album, but they ended up releasing only the ones suitable for Rita's first album.

“Napaghandaan siya bawat song.”
Kapuso singer and actress Rita Daniela said the album produced by GMA Records consists of six singles, five of which are original namely 'Di Lang Ikaw, Forever With You, I’m Flying High, Ihip Ng Pag-Ibig, Hahanap-Hanapin Kita while the last track Fallin’ is revived.
GMA Records came up with a lot of songs for the album, but they ended up releasing only the ones suitable for her first album. She agreed, “I think good decision din po 'yun ng GMA Records kasi sa first parang feeling ko rin po kapag marami [ay] meron talagang hindi mapapakinggan.”
The 19-year-old artist shared she felt overwhelmed when veteran singer-songwriter Janno Gibbs gave her consent to revive the song, “Si Tito Janno po talaga ang nagsabi na i-revive ko ‘to [at] siyempre natuwa ako kasi alam ko ang dami gustong mag-revive nito. Gusto niya daw ako so sobra akong na-overwhelm.

She narrated when the veteran singer heard her recording a song, he said, ‘Sobrang astig ng sound mo. Sinong nag-compose niyan?’ tapos sabi niya ‘Gumawa tayo ng kanta’.
“Kinilig talaga ako,” the Let The Love Begin actress said Janno Gibbs is her childhood idol and also added, “Siguro para sa kanya, I can add another flavor sa song niya.”
On the other hand, she said ‘Di Lang Ikaw is special to her, “Special siya sa akin not because composition ko siya pero na-amaze ako kasi natapos ko 'yun for only 45 minutes, the lyrics in 23.”
The song is about her passion, and a special someone served as her inspiration in making the song two years ago, but she refused to name who.
The “Total Performer” worked on her album for two years due to multiple changes while she was taping for Villa Quintana and at the same time studying, “Maganda din nangyari. Siguro if minadali namin nang time na 'yun, baka hindi din siya lumabas ng ganyan.”

In addition, she shared her producer told her, “Gusto niya may buhay. Kahit matanda na ako, pagpinakinggan nila [ay] buhay pa din siya so maganda na napaghandaan ang lahat.”
The singer cited her international and local musical influences who she looks up to played a big role in making her album possible.
The first one she wrote on the “Acknowledgement” section is singer-actress Jolina Magdangal, “Ever since nag-start ako, siya 'yung naging inspiration ko. Siya nagsabi sakin noon ng grand finals [ng Popstar Kids], ‘Huwag mawawala 'yung passion mo, kung ano 'yung nasa heart mo [ay] sundin mo.’”
The Pari ‘Koy actress also stated South Border’s Jay Durias’ voice is unique, “Boses niya, feeling ko wala pang ganitong boses sa Pilipinas.”
Meanwhile, she admires Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson and Michael Buble on the international level.
She earlier rebranded herself from “Rita De Guzman” to “Rita Daniela” and thought, “Itong pagbabago na to, it doesn’t mean na totally iba na ako. Ako pa rin ‘to pero pinapakilala ko sarili ko kung ano 'yung music at personality ko talaga. Gusto ko makilala nila ako na totoong tao ako.”
