In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Janno recounted his experiences working on Mestizang Cavitena and Pare Ko.
“It was my gift to Dingdong since magkasama kami sa management. Wala naman akong ma-offer na gift ‘di ba, I mean they have everything. Madami na silang material things, marami nang magre-regalo sa kanila. So naisip ko ang mao-offer ko sa kanila is a song, parang harana niya for Marian,” he started, referring to Mestizang Cavitena.
“So I met with Dingdong, he gave me mga words niya. Kasi sabi ko sa kanya, ‘It has to come from you.’ Hindi pwedeng ako, kailangan totoong galing sa kanya, sa puso niya kumbaga. We met, binigay niya sa akin ‘yung sinulat niya. Inayos ko na lang, I turned it into a song,” he continued.
Janno also recalled how he felt proud upon hearing his collaboration with Dingdong.
“Nakakatuwa. I was there when he was singing it doon mismo sa reception. Kinukunan ko ng video sa phone ko dahil kilig eh,” he stated.
Soon after the Dantes couple tied the knot, he began working on the theme song for Dingdong’s faith series Pari ‘Koy.

Janno shared, “They gave me the story, syempre nakakatuwa ‘yung story niya. Bago ‘to for Dingdong, he’s playing a priest na cool. Ganun ‘yung description, cool priest na parang friend lang ang turing mo sa kanya. So ‘yun, I based it on that.”
He further narrated, “Pag binibigay nila sa akin ‘yung project, ‘Can you do a song for us?’ That doesn’t mean I sing it. It doesn’t follow na ako ‘yung kakanta. But this time nung inoffer ‘yung Pari ‘Koy, walang singer. They just told me na part si Gloc 9, kasama si Gloc 9 sa song. So I volunteered myself as a singer also.”
“Sabi ko, ‘isusulat ko, tapos pwede bang ako na rin ang kumanta with Gloc 9?’ Ako ‘yung nag-suggest, ‘Can we make it na parang church song, parang gospel?’ Sa akin nanggaling ‘yun,” he added.
