Truck driver, helper impaled by steel sheets after stopping for pedestrian

A truck driver and his helper were killed in Davao City after they were impaled by the steel they were delivering. 

According to a report on "24 Oras," CCTV footage showed that the truck suddenly stopped after a pedestrian crossed its path.

The steel sheets then moved to the front and into the truck's cabin, hitting and stabbing victims.

Investigation showed that the sheet pile was not properly secured.

The families of the victims are reportedly intent on pursuing a case of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide against the pedestrian and the jeepney driver who allowed him to alight.
