Policewomen have pic taken with drug suspect Mark Anthony, go viral

Two policewomen of the Angeles City police found themselves in an awkward situation after they had a picture taken with actor Mark Anthony Fernandez, who is detained at their police station for possession of a kilo of marijuana.

The picture, which has since been posted online by one Nathan Hachero Azarcon, quickly went viral.

It had been shared more than 1,500 times and had more than 18,000 reactions as of Wednesday afternoon.

A report by Jun Veneracion in Balitanghali on Wednesday said that the officers had their photos taken with Fernandez after he underwent profiling in Station 6.

Fernandez is currently detained at the Angeles City police Station 6 after cops found a kilo worth of marijuana in his car at a checkpoint on Monday night.

While the policewomen admitted taking photos with the 37-year-old actor, the women said they did not post the photos on their social media accounts.

It was discovered that a barangay official who managed to enter the room was the one who took the photo and posted it online.

Chief Inspector Francisco Guevarra Jr, the Commander of Station 6, said that the policewomen merely wanted a souvenir photo with Fernandez.
