Marcos on joining Comelec debate: I’m still looking at format

“I don’t know, I'm still looking at the format.”

This was the response of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. when asked if he would join the debates sponsored by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) during an event in Pasay City.

To recall, Marcos skipped the presidential debate organized by the CNN Philippines last weekend.

He also did not join in the presidential interview of GMA Network’s Jessica Soho as well as the forum organized by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas.

Marcos, however, joined the SMNI-sponsored presidential debate last February.

His spokesman, lawyer Vic Rodriguez, earlier said they would not join forums that will only cause fights among candidates. — BM, GMA News
