UAAP: Ateneo shuts out La Salle for perfect season, wins second straight women's volleyball title

A new dynasty is born.

The Ateneo women's volleyball team capped off their perfect season with a straight sets win against archrivals De La Salle University, 25-22 25-17 25-23, on Saturday.

Alyssa Valdez had a usual high-scoring outing, tallying 20 points with 19 coming from attacks. Amy Ahomiro, Bea De Leon and Michelle Morente had 10 each, while Jia Morado and Ella De Jesus combined for 11.

No La Salle player scored in double figures, with Majoy Baron leading the Green & White with nine points. Mika Reyes had eight, while Desiree Cheng had six. Cyd Demecillo was limited to five. - GMA News
