Jerwin Ancajas outclasses Jonas Sultan in all Filipino world title fight

Reigning IBF world super flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas made a fifth successful title defense following a highly dominant performance over fellow Filipino Jonas Sultan, Saturday night (Sunday PHL time) at Save Mart Arena in Fresno, California.

It was clear from the get-go that the defending champion from Panabo is the far superior fighter as he landed his jabs and left straight at a game yet sorely outclassed Sultan.

The skill difference was night and day as Ancajas kept his charging foe at bay with his crisp jabs, counter punches and lateral movement while Sultan looked to land a Hail Mary punch the whole night.

Ancajas was awarded a unanimous decision victory after twelve rounds of boxing clinic. The scorecards were 119-109, 119-109 and 117-111. He improved his record to 30-1-1 with 20 knockouts while Sultan dropped to 14-4 with 9 knockouts. — LA, GMA News
