Pacquiao on Horn victory: He deserves it, no complaint
"He deserves it, no complaint."
That was how Manny Pacquiao described his defeat to Australian fighter Jeff Horn moments after the unanimous decision victory was announced on Sunday in Brisbane, Australia.
Pacquiao, who suffered his seventh loss against 59 victories and two draws, said the decision was "part of the game."
Horn took the fight to Pacquiao early, mixing it up with the Filipino champion and paying the price for the punishment.
The hometown fighter caught a big break after Pacquiao suffered two cuts on his hairline due to accidental headbutts, first in the sixth round and again in the seventh.
But Pacquiao looked like the fresher fighter in the final third of the match, rocking Horn in the ninth round and visibly going for the knockout.
"I'm about to finish him, but he survived," Pacquiao said about the ninth round. --JST, GMA News
