Manny Pacquiao scores first career point in the PBA against Purefoods

Manny Pacquiao scored his first career point in the PBA on Wednesday, scoring on a free throw for the Kia Carnival against the Purefoods Star Hotshots.

 

The Filipino ring icon's point came at the 11:24 mark of the second period after being fouled by Allein Maliksi on a drive. He missed his first attempt before making his second.

He later missed his next two attempts from the field.
 

Pacquiao was appointed coach of the expansion ballclub before the season, before officially joining the team as a player after being picked in the draft.

 

It was Pacquiao's debut for the team in the ongoing Commissioner's Cup. He played in two games in the Philippine Cup but failed to score. —JST, GMA News
