Kris Bernal is having the sexiest summer as she makes her FHM Philippines debut

Haters, eat your heart out — Kris Bernal is here to stay and slay.

The gorgeous Kapuso actress is embracing the summer heat as she sizzles on the cover of FHM Philippines' May issue.

The magazine welcomed Bernal's departure from her sweet and wholesome image, even if it meant enduring a barrage of negative comments.

"Handa na ako sa pagbuhos ng negative comments. Pero tinanggap ko rin ang imbitasyon niyo to do this kasi curious din ako sa kung ano ang sasabihin [ng mga tao]. I really want to break the box people put me in," the actress was quoted saying.

Bernal also told FHM Philippines that she doesn't want to be limited to "cute" roles, which is why she's enjoying her role in the GMA Afternoon Prime series "Impostora."

However, Bernal remains kind but strong in real life — especially on social media, where she has been spreading body positive messages.

“Embrace your imperfections. Own it. Live with it," she told her followers.
