BTS performs on MTV Unplugged
BTS makes history yet again, as it becomes the first Korean group to grace MTV's iconic Unplugged stage.
They opened their set with a laidback version of "Telepathy" followed by an acoustic pop track of their song "Blue and Grey."
Apart from unplugged renditions of songs from their album BE, the group surprised the ARMY with an intimate performance of Coldplay's "Fix You," which Bandwagon reports is a meaningful choice for BTS, as the song helped them through hard times in 2020.
Appearing in Coldplay's 2005 album "X&Y," "Fix You" was reportedly written by Chris Martin for then-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, after her father passed away.
According to a report on Bandwagon, the BTS members had a message right before they launched into their closing performances, with RM saying, "We hope many of you are comforted in your rooms and houses. Thank you for tuning in with us!"
Aside from "Telepathy," "Blue and Grey" and Coldplay's "Fix You," the group also performed "Life Goes On," and their Grammy-nominated hit track "Dynamite."
Their performance of "Fix You" has been a talk of the town and it has been trending on Twitter with almost a million tweets, as of this writing. Here's hoping MTV makes it available on YouTube soon! — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
