The list of 8 finalists for Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018 has been released

Eight movies comprise the the second edition of Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, slated to run from August 15 to 21.

The movie festival released its lineup on social media Monday.

Adolfo B. Alix Jr.’s Madilim Ang Gabi is headlined by veteran actors Gina Alajar and Phillip Salvador.

Unli Life by Miko Livelo is headlined by Reina Winwyn Marquez opposite Vhong Navarro.

We Will Not Die Tonight, starring Max Eigenmann, Alex Medina and Erich Gonzales, is directed by Richard V. Somes.

The Day After Valentine’s has Bela Padilla and JC Santos in the cast. It is directed by Jason Paul Laxamana.

Bakwit Boys, which is also directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, stars Devon Seron, Vance Larena and Nikko Natividad.

Signal Rock is directed by veteran Chito Rono and stars Christian Bables and Nanding Josef.

Ang Babaeng Allegic sa Wifi stars Sue Ramirez and controversial Jameson Blake.

Pinay Beauty has indie darlings Chai Fonacier and Edgar Allan Guzman in the cast.

PPP also released the list of eight finalists for the Sine Kabataan leg of the festival.

Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino will run from Aug 15-21. — LA, GMA News
