Alden Richards receives New York Festivals silver medal award for 'Alaala'
Together with program manager Joy Madrigal, Alden Richards received the silver medal award for "Alaala" at the 2018 New York Festivals.
On Instagram, Alden congratulated the entire "Alaala" team. "Thank you to the New York Festivals for this great recognition. Congratulations to Team Alaala for the win! To GOD be the glory!On Instagram," Alden wrote.

The Martial Law docudrama tells the story of award-winning screenwriter Bonifacio Ilagan, as he journeyed from his days as an idealistic youth to the declaration of Martial Law and his eventual capture and torture under the hands of the Philippine Constabulary. It was Bonifacio Ilagan who wrote "Alaala".
It is one of the eight winners from GMA Network, which also includes the only Filipino recipient of Best News Anchor, Jessica Soho.

"Alaala" was aired in September 2017, to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Martial Law. It also starred Rocco Nacino, Bianca Umali, and Gina Alajar.
