Luis Manzano clarifies mom Rep. Vilma Santos' stance on the proposed CHR budget
In a series of tweets Wednesday, television host Luis Manzano clarified the stance on the proposed budget for the Commission on Human Rights of his mother, Representative Vilma Santos-Recto of Lipa, Batangas.
First, my mom is against the 1k budget of the CHR. Second, she wasn't able to vote since she was about to be confined and was/is under meds. https://t.co/Y9VSwN77Ij

Sharing a screen grab of what seems to be a text message from Ate Vi, Luis informed his followers that his mother was against the proposed budget of P1,000. "Am against cutting the budget of CHR. They have a duty to perform as mandated by the constitution," read part of the message.

Unfortunately, Congresswoman Vilma was unable to attend the session and give her 'no' vote as she had medical issues to attend to. She had an ulcers attack and was almost admitted for hospital confinement.
Manzano also clarified that the viral post showing screen grabs of Congressman Vilma's Twitter account saying she voted for the proposed budget and that she was proud of it came from an account that she doesn't nor any of her staff member handle.
My mom has clarified that she is not using this account nor anyone from her team. pic.twitter.com/xhoZaomZgH
