Three films win special prizes in Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino

At White Space on Pasong Tamo extension Sunday, Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino had a thanksgiving fiesta where the Film Development Council of the Philippines handed out special prizes. Three films from the 12 entries won top prizes.

Critic’s Choice Award went to “Birdshot” by 25-year-old filmmaker Mikhail Red.

Victor Villanueva's dark comedy “Patay na si Hesus” bagged the Jury’s Choice Award, while Viva Films’ “Isang Daang Tula Para Kay Stella” won the Audience Choice Award.

Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino runs until August 22. — LA/KVD, GMA News
