Inanunsyo nitong Huwebes na si Kris Aquino, ang tinaguriang Queen of All Media, ang brand ambassador ng internet TV service provider na iflix.

"It is a tremendous honor to welcome Kris to the iflix family, as part of our continuing tradition of bringing together the most influential local and international icons of the entertainment industry to help drive our content strategy and growth," sabi ni Mark Britt, iflix Group co-founder at CEO sa isinagawang iflix press conference sa Taguig City.

Ayon kay Patrick Grove, iflix co-founder and chairman, "We really need to get someone big, someone who's eruptive, someone brave, someone bold. Who can we get? And they said 'Hey there's this woman called Kris, and she's the Queen of All Media, and she's also the Oprah of the Philippines."

"And now I have the pleasure to meet you... I've realized that you're (Kris) not actually the Oprah of the Philippines, Oprah is the Kris Aquino of America!" dagdag pa ni Grove.

"I believe that what they're doing is amazing because they are supporting local content. They are paying for local products."

"The reason I am happy to be part of iflix is because this is one company that really believes in our country. So I think, why should we be paying a company that is not invested in the Philippines? We should bring our money back to our country, that is investing in [the Philippines]," dagdag pa ni Kris.

"I wanted to be the first to go into digital. The iflix partnership has been my longest courtship," sabi ni Kris.

"When I finally got the contract, this was June 12, our Independence Day, and I actually saw the signature of Mark Britt there. I said, 'Oh my God, it's real! It's was worth the wait,'" sabi niya.

"And I got actually paid in dollars," pahayag ng aktres.

"I told Sherwin (dela Cruz, Country Manager ng iflix Philippines) because they are negotiating with the director I really love and (have) respect for that movie. And he's willing to work beyond the number of days that are allotted in the contract that is signed with Sherwin," sabi ni Kris.

"But I think it's going to be worth it because, that's the other thing about iflix, they are really invested in quality products. I think that's a great thing, right, they're not going to be confined to something you've seen everywhere and anywhere else," dagdag niya.

"I am not saying no to being on free TV, because that's where I started, but I'm also very open to be in newer platforms," paliwanag niya. — BAP, GMA News
