Why Kris Bernal is confident about her body despite online bashers

Despite criticisms she gets from bashers online, Kris Bernal is more confident about flaunting her body.

I only stand 5'1" and 'pag sinearch mo sa internet, yung ideal weight for that ranges from 100 to 130 [pounds] and hindi ako underweight kasi nasa 105 yung weight ko," she added.

The Kapuso star is this month's cover girl of the popular men's magazine FHM. She said that it took eight years before she finally agreed to be on the cover.

Bernal who will be turning 28 on May 17 emphasized that being on the cover of FHM is the biggest leap in her showbiz career.

Pero this time kasi I'm turning 28 syempre yung age na yun eh nasa marrying age na rin or getting a family.

Bernal then shared that she only had a week to prepare for the shoot, prompting her to resort to a crash diet plan.

Asked whether she is okay about being called "Twiggy," a British model known for her stick-thin build, Bernal said that she would positively accept it as she is used to the scrutiny she has been receiving.

I see myself always in a mirror, nakikita ko naman kung ano yung bagay sa akin and at the same time gumagawa naman ako ng effort para mapaganda at ma-improve yung sarili ko," she said.

"Lagi naman akong payat eh. Ever since naman...Maliit talaga ako kumbaga," she added.

Bernal will be portraying two characters in her upcoming afternoon prime series "Impostora" which is set to begin soon on GMA.

She will star along other Kapuso actors like Rafael Rosell, Ryan Eigenmann, Assunta De Rossi, Elizabeth Oropesa, Aicelle Santos, Sinon Loresca, and Vaness del Moral. —JST, GMA News
