These ladies rose to fame in the 1990's. Some two decades later, they've bloomed into beautiful women who are either still in show business or full-time moms. Take a look at their before and after photos.
1. Miriam Quimbao
Who can forget Miriam Quiambao's stunning face? This morena beauty represented the Philippines in the 1999 Miss Universe pageant where she finished as the first runner-up. She then went on to host Unang Hirit, Extra-Extra and other TV programs and has also worked on different shows, films and advertisements. Miriam is now enjoying married life with her second husband, businessman and author Ardy Roberto, Jr.
2. Rica Peralejo
The years have not dimmed Rica Peralejo's charm one bit! She set foot in show business when she was only 11 years old and her career took her on a memorable ride through TV shows, films and endorsement deals. Her acting chops have earned her several awards including Metro Manila Best Actress for Kutob and FAMAS Awards Best Actress for Hibla. Rica has now embraced her new role as a loving wife, doting mom and busy blogger.
3. Paula Peralejo
Like her older sister, Rica, Paula Peralejo was also a prominent name in TV. Her busy schedule didn't stop her from finishing her studies. Paula graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines - Diliman campus with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy minor in Tourism. She is now a happy wife and runs a travelling agency which she co-owns alongside her husband.
4. Karel Marquez
Karel Marquez is a triple threat - she can sing, act and dance. First seen on TV in 1998, this lovely lady has continued to forge a career in the spotlight. Her most recent dramatic role was the ground-breaking soap My Husband's Lover. Karel is also a proud mom of two adorable kids.
5. Kristine Hermosa
Kristine Hermosa was the face of multiple endorsement deals and magazine covers as she skyrocketed to fame as a drama actress. She is now beyond contented as the wife of actor Oyo Sotto and their three children.
6. Kathleen Hermosa
Kristine's older sister Kathleen Hermosa also entered the world of glitz and glamor as almost two decades ago. Even after all these years, she hasn't lost her glow and passion for acting. She last appeared in the revamped version of Anna Karenina and has been quoted be interested in honing her skills as an antagonist.
7. Alessandra de Rossi
Alessandra de Rossi started her career in the films Magic Kingdom and Mystrio (Uno... Dos... Tres Pilyos) in 1997 and 1998. She went on to conquer TV and film and has collected a number of awards for her portrayals and also starred in the Singapore-based horror movie The Maid. Alex is now the host of Basta Everyday Happy and was also part of the cast of Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real.
8. Assunta de Rossi
Alex's older sister Assunta de Rossi may be married now to Negros Occidental Congressman Jules Ledesma but she entered the limelight via show business. Her first forays into performing was in That's Entertainment; she also tried her hand in comedy in Ober da Bakod and Bubble Gang. In 2001, she took home the Metro Manila Film Fest Best Actress Award for her lead role in Hubog. The Filipina-Italian beauty still has her plate full with TV guestings and a new film.
9. Anne Curtis
Anne Curtis made her first TV appearance in 1997 as "Ginny" in the original version of GMA Network's Anna Karenina. She went on to star in other programs such as T.G.I.S, and added film credits to her name. Anne has bloomed into a total performer who can sing, act and dance. She has staged concerts in major arenas all over the country and has taken her act abroad.
10. Antoinette Taus
Antoinette Taus was an actress, singer, dancer and commercial model in the early 90's. She left the Philippines for the United States where she continued to work in show business. Just this year, Antoinette returned to her home and dove right back into the local scene with guestings on several TV shows and a new musical, Grease Manila.
11. Camille Prats
With her youthful looks, Camille Prats can still pass for a teenager. You'll be surprised to know that she started acting in 1992 and already has a son. Camille is a TV host and one of the most popular leading ladies in the Kapuso network. She is currently working on the new soap, Second Chances.
12. Cheska Garcia
Before Cheska Garcia became the wife of basketball star Doug Kramer and mom to Kendra, Scarlett and Gavin, she was a mainstay in a kid-oriented gag show. She was also a model and an endorser for different brands. Cheska is still a showbiz personality and has appeared in several magazines, TV programs and advertisements with her family.
13. Danica Sotto
Danica Sotto was surrounded by showbiz personalities as she was growing up being the daughter of Dina Bonevie and Vic Sotto. As a teenager, she appeared in a TV ad with her actress mom and proceeded to star in the sitcom Daddy Di Do Du. Danica is in wedded bliss with Gilas Pilipinas baller Marc Pingris with whom she has two kids.
14. Ciara Sotto
Danica's cousin, Ciara Sotto, also rose to fame in the 1990's with her well-loved character "Rain" in T.G.I.S. Ciara went on to appear in several more TV programs and films and has remained active in show business particularly in dancing. Now happily married, Ciara is in full bloom as an expectant mom.
15. Lucy Torres-Gomez
We first set eyes on Lucy Torres-Gomez in a shampoo endorsement way back in 1993 where she appeared opposite actor Richard Gomez. Their joint project paved the way for a romance that eventually led to marriage. Lucy is now a mom to Julianna and is well immersed in politics as the Representative-elect of the 4th district of Leyte.
16. Roxanne Barcelo
Roxanne Barcelo was only 13 years old when she became one of the contestants for GMA's talent show Metropop Search. She then became a mainstay in the teen-oriented series Click. Today, Roxanne is a recording star and a talented performer also known as Roxee B. — GMA Network
