Cloudy skies, isolated rain showers seen anew in Cavite, Batangas

The Taal's volcanic activity will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna on Saturday, PAGASA said on Friday.

In a 5 p.m. video update, weather specialist Raymond Ordinario added that the Northeast Monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over the Cordillera Region, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.

The monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over a large portion of Luzon and cloudy skies with scattered rains over Bicol.

Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said no weather disturbance is expected to enter or form within the Philippine Area of Responsibility over the weekend.

Special weather forecast

Should the Taal erupt with a column of 7 kilometers or below, its ash plumes will drift to municipalities south and southwest of the volcano, PAGASA said in its special weather forecast.

However, should the eruption column exceed 7 kilometers, the ash plumes will also drift over the southern and southeastern portions of Batangas and some municipalities in Quezon, Mindoro, and Marinduque, it added. —NB, GMA News
