ITCZ to affect Mindnanao, Typhoon Yutu still outside PAR
The effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone will be felt in Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
The state weather bureau, meanwhile, continues to monitor Typhoon Yutu. The eye of the weather disturbance is 2,535 kilometers east of central Luzon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) with sustained maximum winds of 210 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 260 kph.
Yutu is moving northwestward at a speed of 20 kilomters per hour.
Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
The weather bureau issued an advisory that that flashfloods and landslides could occur due to severe thunderstorms. — BAP, GMA News
