ITCZ to affect Palawan, Mindanao

The effects of an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be felt in Palawan and Mindanao on Friday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

With the ITCZ, Davao, ARMM, SOCCSKARGEN, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau advised the public to watch for flashfloods and landslides that may occur due to severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition in extreme northern Luzon will be moderate to rough and slight to moderate in the Visayas, the rest of Luzon and Mindanao. — BAP, GMA News
