Orange rainfall warning up over Metro Manila, Bulacan, Bataan, Batangas


PAGASA issued a heavy rainfall warning at 7:35 a.m. on Tuesday due to the southwest monsoon (habagat).

The Orange Warning Level is up over Metro Manila,  Bulacan,  Bataan, and Batangas

PAGASA said "flooding is threatening."

The Orange Warning Level means 15-30 mm of intense rains are to be observed in one hour and will continue in the next two hours. The public is advised to be on the alert for possible evacuation.

The Yellow Warning Level on the other hand was raised over Rizal, Cavite, Pampanga, and Zambales

This means heavy rains measuring about 7.5 to 15mm are to be expected in one hour and will continue in the next two hours. Flooding is possible in low-lying areas.

PAGASA also said light to moderate with occasional heavy rains is affecting Laguna and Quezon which may persist within 3 hours.

It also said Tarlac and Nueva Ecija should expect light to moderate rains for the next 1-2 hours.

PAGASA advised the public and disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned to take the necessary precautions and monitor weather conditions.
