Heavy rainfall alert up in Metro Manila, Luzon provinces
PAGASA on Tuesday morning issued orange and yellow rainfall warning for Metro Manila and Luzon provinces due to heavy rains from Tropical Depression Maring.
The weather bureau said that as of 11 a.m., the orange warning level was up in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna and Batangas.
It said "flooding is threatening" in these provinces due to heavy rains brought on by the cyclone, which is expected to make landfall this morning in Quezon.
Metro Manila and the provinces of Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Zambales, Rizal and Quezon were placed under the yellow warning alert.
PAGASA isa "flooding" is expected in low-lying areas in the capital region and the said provinces.
Heavy rains in these areas are expected to prevail in the next three hours.
The weather bureau also said that moderate to occasional heavy rains are expected in Nueva Ecija and Tarlac for the next three hours. —ALG, GMA News
