“The Armed Forces of the Philippines is ready to to support the PNP and other agencies that are involved in the security arrangements during the departure of the pope tomorrow,” Cabunoc said.

“We request the filipino people to extend the same gesture of love, respect and cooperation that we showed Pope Francis during his stay here,” he added.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila Development Authority Chairman Francis Tolentino said in a text message that the MMDA is ready for the Pope's departure. He also asked the public to help give the Pope a great exit.

"Let's send off the Holy Father with our amazing discipline," he said.

Pope Francis is currently in the country for a five-day papal visit and will be concluding the event on Monday during his departure.

During his stay here, he visited super typhoon Yolanda victims in Tacloban City, celebrated mass at Luneta Park and reached out to youth at the University of Santo Tomas among others.
