The Catholic Bishop's Conference of the Philippines revealed what Pope Francis wrote in the University of Santo Tomas guestbook when he visited the university's campus Sunday morning.

Pope Francis had gone to the UST to meet with religious leaders and to have an encounter with youths.

“May the Lord bless all those studying and working for a culture of encounter,” Pope Francis wrote.

During the encounter, Pope Francis exhorted the Filipino youth to "learn how to weep" for the poor and the marginalized. “If you don't learn how to cry, you can't be good Christians,” explained the Pope.

After the encounter at the UST, Pope Francis celebrated Mass at the Luneta Park. A record 6 million people attended the Mass.
