Umbrella-carrying Pinoys brave rain to wait for Pope’s Mass at Luneta

The rain from Tropical Storm Amang (Mekkhala) appears to be no match for the faith of Filipinos who crowded the area near the Quirino Grandstand to wait for Pope Francis' concluding Mass Sunday afternoon.

Closed-circuit television screenshots tweeted by Manila Vice Mayor Francisco Domagoso (Isko Moreno) showed Filipinos carrying umbrellas to cope with the rain.

The CCTV footage included Taft Avenue and Finance Street, Padre Faura, T.M. Kalaw, and Lawton.

Kalaw corner Taft Avenue was particularly crowded as shown in the CCTV shots.
