Pope kisses, blesses children in Popemobile tour of UST
(Updated 9:55 a.m.) After zipping in from the Apostolic Nunciature, Pope Francis on Sunday morning went around the University of Santo Tomas campus in Manila aboard his Popemobile.
The Pope, who boarded the Isuzu pickup-based Popemobile inside the campus, waved to the cheering crowds, most of whom had been in the area since Saturday evening.
Unlike the fast pace of his convoy from the Nunciature, the Pope aboard his Popemobile weaved his way through the crowd.
The Pope, who has shown his soft spot for children during his Philippine visit, blessed and kissed several children and babies in the crowd.
A separate report on dzBB radio quoted the papal visit organizers as saying the Pope managed to kiss at least nine babies.
