State of calamity declared in 8 areas in Pangasinan

A state of calamity has been declared in eight areas in Pangasinan as the Southwest Monsoon continues to bring rains to various parts of Luzon and Visayas on Sunday.

According to a report by Katrina Son on 24 Oras Weekend, these areas are:

• Dagupan City
• Calasiao
• Santa Barbara
• San Carlos
• Bugallon
• Mangatarem
• Bani
• Lingayen

In Dagupan City, residents were rescued from their homes as floods in some areas reached waist- and even chest-high.

Classes for Monday, July 23, have been cancelled in the entire province. — BM, GMA News
